WOMEN MINISTRY
The Women's Ministry officially began in 2003 when Ms. Le Thuy Phuong (now Pastor) received a vision from God: to raise up a generation of godly women, strong in love, comforting others, preaching the Gospel, praying, casting out demons, healing... Throughout its history of formation and development, women with strength in praying have always accompanied the Church in all circumstances, contributing significantly to the overall work.
Early period
The Vietnamese Word of Life Church in Moscow began with a group of people including students and workers who stayed to do business in Moscow. This group was very chaotic, especially women. Life in Moscow was complicated, couples lived together as husband and wife, had children, got married, but actually they both had families and children in Vietnam. The busiest thing in the Church was gossiping from sisters who often slander. I was also the target of the sisters' attacks, because Mr. Pham Tuan Nhuong was loved too much by many people, so I, as his girlfriend, had to go through the test of the gossiping of the "female generals". Of course, besides me, many other sisters were kicked out of the Church and could not stay, and those who stayed had to shed many tears (from the heartfelt words of Pastor Le Thuy Phuong)
Vision
God placed in me a vision to end all gossip in the Church, not allowing this to happen again. There will be a generation of strong, godly women in love, women who comfort, preach the gospel, pray, cast out demons and heal who will fill the Church, one generation supports another, the old help the young as in the Bible, Titus 2:5.
The first steps
Since 2003, when returning to Vietnam, the first thing the Church did was to gather women together to pray, study God’s Word, visit, care... The women of the Word of Life prayed strongly and did not gossip or slander. In the first months, there were few sisters but they were very faithful. The sisters had just returned from Russia, all had problems but they united to share the joys and sorrows, prayed together and relied on God. In the early years from 2003 to 2006, the group had both women and men praying together (in fact, there were very few men). When it was realized that prayer was the strength of women, in 2006, the women’s group officially had a prayer meeting at Linh Dam, the home of Ms. Linh and Hue.
Women's Prayer Group established
From 2006-2008, women prayed together every Tuesday afternoon. From 2008 to 2012, the Women's Prayer Group prayed all day on Tuesday at La Khe (Pastor Phuong's house). From 2012 to 2015, the Church moved to Van Khe and Mo Lao. On the praying day, women were visited by God, and during the prayer, God revealed many visions or prophecies. In 2009, during a prayer, Pastor Nhuong was revealed by God about moving the meeting place to a new location on Le Van Thiem Street (36 Chicken facility). In 2016, God revealed about moving the official meeting place to Hanoi International Fellowship Church in the Detech building.
Accompanying the Church
Since 2016, the women's prayer meeting on Tuesday has been changed to a prayer meeting for the whole Church. By 2018, the church began to have a prayer tower from 9:00 am to 4:30pm at Bao Son from Monday to Friday with almost all women.
From 2007 to now, every year the Women's Ministry has 2 seminars on March 8 and October 20 for Hanoi and other provinces. Women are taught about serving, obedience to their husbands, raising children, becoming women of prayer, spiritual mothers... Over time, the Women's groups have also increased in number, with an average of 1 seminar every 2 months. Not only in Hanoi, provinces and cities have also begun to develop women's ministries such as Ho Chi Minh City, Nghe An, Da Nang, Tay Nguyen, Mong Cai, Northern Delta, Vinh Phuc…
