The first period

The first Christmas of the Church in 2002 was held in Le Mat, Duc Giang, Long Bien. The first “worship team” of the Church was made up of all those who knew how to sing Christmas songs: a few sisters who had returned from Russia and the children, especially Nhung who was only 11 years old at that time and had not learned to play the piano yet, was pulled into playing. From 2003, Ms. Le Thuy Phuong (now a Pastor) began to gather the teenagers to train for worship. By 2004, the worship team had a band of students and only Nhung could play the keyboard. When the Church opened many new groups, the team had to run from one place to another for each meeting. The Church grew larger and larger, and the work increased.

In April 2004, Pastor Christian came to Vietnam to announce the establishment of the Word of Life Church in Vietnam. At the end of 2004, the Church organized Christmas at Ha Anh Hotel - the first time we were able to rent a large venue in Hanoi, something that no other Church had done.

The first Bible music course

In the summer of 2005, the first Bible music course took place in Dong Anh town. There were 8 students trained in basic music theory, singing lessons, and organ lessons. Also in 2005, the team had the opportunity to serve the first Bible School course in Vietnam. 2005 was also the year the Church began organizing Christmas in many groups in different areas such as Long Bien, Lien Ha, Nguyen Khe, and Dong Anh town.​

Since 2010, the Church has continuously opened Bible Music courses to train many people to play the instrument to meet the needs of expanding the Church throughout the country. Through all the years, the worship team has always been ready, whenever the Church opens a new group, the team has prepared people to serve.

Historic Christmas 2009

In 2006, the Church organized a big Christmas with many dances, solos, choirs, and folk dances at the Hanoi Children's Palace. In 2007, worship team accompanied the Church to organize Christmas at the Central Circus with about 1,000 participants. In 2008, the Word of Life Church organized Christmas at the National Convention Center (we are the only religious organization that has ever organized an event here). 2009 was a very special year when our Church and HCF organized a historic Christmas event at My Dinh Square, with the Word of Life worship team taking the main responsibility.

Training at Proskuneo

In 2013, the worship team released its first audio disc. In 2016, the band began to form. In 2017, the worship team attended the Love Hanoi Festival, marking a milestone for the band, and it was also the first year when 10 members went together to train in the Proskuneo Worship course in Indonesia. In the following years, the worship team sent people to study this program every year, aiming to raise a generation of young people with qualifications in Worshiping ministry.
