WORKPLACE MINISTRY
Christians are called to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. For Christians who do business or being an employee, the workplace is their mission field. The Workplace Ministry of the Word of Life Church in Vietnam was established to connect those who do business for God, with the purpose of guiding, encouraging, and helping them with skills, becoming "light in the marketplace", bringing the presence of God to their workplace.
The Workplace Ministry (formerly known as the A&B Business Club) was established when some Christians doing business in the church were called by God. The club began to gather business people in the church to pray, organize skill seminars with very practical topics on finance and management. Every month, the club also organizes visits to businesses and learns from successful Christian businessmen.
From 2017 to 2020, A&B Business Club organized many Effective Business courses, a business startup course based on the teachings of the Bible. Many students graduated and became more successful in their businesses. In 2021, with the permission of Pastor Pham Tuan Nhuong, the club officially became a Workplace Ministry, under the Vietnam Word of Life Church.
With the call to become a "light in the marketplace", the Ministry has helped businessmen in the Church through seminars, connecting with successful Christians in churches in Singapore, Korea... through exchange and learning trips. The Ministry also invited speakers who are very successful Christian businessmen to share their experiences with business people in the Church through monthly seminars. The Workplace Ministry always accompanies the Church in giving, charity work, giving scholarships to excellent students, encouraging business people and contributing an important part in the development of the Vietnamese Word of Life Church.
